Framework settings, organized for clarity
We’ve improved the Framework Settings page to make it easier to find and manage what you need. This brings better visibility and separation of concerns, so you can manage frameworks more efficiently.
What’s new
:→ Two clear tabs for better organization:
General
for framework structure (reordering, creation, deletion, and managing controls) and Controls
for control-specific settings, custom fields, connections and data retention.

You can now define custom formulas for risk scores, giving you more control over how probability and consequence combine. This ensures your risk assessments better reflect your organization’s methodology and provide more meaningful insights.
What’s new
:→ Apply a custom calculation formula using probability and consequence.
→ Use standard functions like min, max, avg, and sum, along with normal math operations.
→ Custom formulas currently display only on the gauge.
Configure this directly in
Settings -> Risks
by selecting a risk type
and enabling the custom formula under Risk Score -> Calculation
.

Meet critical deadlines with confidence using workflows

Managing regulatory and time-bound obligations requires clarity, structure, and accountability. To support this, we have introduced a new "
Set Deadline
" action giving you a more powerful and structured way to manage time-sensitive processes. This update helps you enforce internal and external deadlines, track whether critical actions or NIS2 reporting tasks are completed on time, and maintain visibility across complex, compliance-driven workflows.
What's new:
→
New workflow action
: “Set Deadline
”, decide which conditions must be met before time runs out→ Deadline visibility on entities/resources, showing clear “
met
” or “missed
” statusFor more details on how to configure and use the
Set Deadline action
, check out our **Help Center article**.new

User Experience Update
Easier control framework organization
You can now manage and refine your control framework structure with greater clarity and speed. This makes it easier to maintain consistent grouping and naming, and keep your frameworks well-organized as they evolve.
What’s new
:→ A new “
Manage structure
” button on the Frameworks page, opening the framework structure in a side drawer for quicker access.

→ Easily reorganize control groups and adjust naming directly within the framework.
→ An improved frameworks list view in
Settings
, now positioned at the top of the page with a cleaner design.→ Access to ''
Manage structure
'' directly from Settings -> Frameworks
.
You can now configure risk scoring to better reflect your internal methodology and matrix structure. This gives you the flexibility to support more advanced or larger risk matrices, including setups beyond 7×7, without workarounds.
What’s new
:→ Add more options for probability and consequence, enabling risk matrices beyond 7×7.
→ Extend risk score ranges up to 10 levels.
→ Use decimal numbers across risk scoring and ranges.
→ Small UI improvement in the score ranges view to clearly indicate number splits when using decimals.
In the image below, you can see that the consequence has been extended to 8 options.

We are hosting a series of live, hands-on sessions on February 24-25, to guide you through preparing your DORA ROI reports in Formalize. We’ll cover organizing your data, spotting gaps early, and take you step by step to submit accurate, complete reports on time.
At the end, we will answer questions live so you can get clarity on anything you’re unsure about.
**Register here** and choose the session in your language.

Feature Update
Automate risk strategy updates with workflows
Keep risk management aligned with your processes and reduce manual steps. You can now apply risk strategy changes directly through workflows and capture all updates consistently.
What’s new
:→ Update a risk’s strategy automatically via a workflow (
mitigate, accept, transfer, avoid
).→ A new risk version is automatically created if the strategy changes.
→ Update related fields such as
probability, consequence
, and impact
within the workflow.→ Add comments explaining the change directly from the workflow.

Feature Improvement
Add clarity to workflows with step titles
You can now add step titles to key workflow nodes,
Actions, Conditions, Wait, and Loop
, when configuring your flows. Step titles make it easier to understand what each step does and keep track of your workflow as it grows. For existing workflows, step titles have been pre-filled automatically. For new workflows, you can add step titles yourself as you build. This improvement also makes the new
Wait for
node clearer, as it now uses the step title to describe what it’s waiting for.
new
Feature Update
Track control effectiveness more efficiently
Building on the new Control Effectiveness widget, the control effectiveness percentage is now also visible directly in the
Frameworks
table. This is available as a table preference column that you can select or deselect as needed, and by default it appears right after the status column.

User Experience Update
Organize and explore content more efficiently
We’ve renamed the Content Library to Marketplace and updated how content is structured and displayed. This redesign makes it faster and easier to find, manage, and use content, while key information and item details are visible at a glance.
What’s new
:→
Collections
(NIS 2, DORA) are renamed to compliance blueprints
. → Full descriptions now appear under the blueprint name (NIS 2, DORA, etc.), making key information immediately visible.
→ New tags (
imported, in trial, and requested
) help you quickly identify content status.→ Open a blueprint to see all items directly, grouped by type (policies, frameworks, risks, tasks).
→ A cleaner, simpler design to improve navigation.
